Smalley products are manufactured using our exclusive Circular-Grain Forming Process. Rings and Springs are not die-stamped from sheet or strip. They are produced by edge winding flat wire, a proprietary forming process similar to coiling a slinky. Smalley’s in-house wire rolling mills produce flat wire material of the highest quality, and fine grain structure, providing products with exceptional strength and dimensional stability.
No-Tooling-Cost Process:
Smalley’s Circular-Grain Process offers unusual flexibility in production. There is no special tooling needed, even for prototype or custom configurations. This results in a low prototype cost and quick deliveries.
